Thanks for taking the time to visit our website. We are beavering away behind the scenes with some exciting new things on the go for 2024 and beyond.
2023 saw us nominated in the 'Band of the Year' category at the Scots Trad Music Awards and inclusion in The List magazines 'Hot 100' (see below) and 2024 has begun with some lovely news for Rachel :)
As reported in The Scotsman newspaper, Rachel was recently included in the Hands Up For Trad's Women in Culture List for 2024. Rachel, along with eleven other amazing Scots women, featured in the list which was released on International Women's Day. You can read Rachel's interview and find out who else was included on the list here.
In other news, we're busy booking for shows in 2024 and 2025 so if you have a local venue you'd like to see us perform in, then drop us an email by clicking here. We're also busy writing for a new album this year so we're very excited to let you hear that!

Hot 100! The List magazine.
We were delighted (and beyond tickled) to have been named amongst the 2023 'Hot 100' in The List magazine.
Every December the good folks at The List magazine reflect on the past twelve months and decide who made a major impact on Scotland’s cultural landscape. The 100 creatives comprise actors to artists, writers to restaurateurs, and playwrights to pop stars so we were delighted to make No. 49 on the list.

Despite The Wind And Rain
With the support of Creative Scotland we recorded ten brand new songs which tell the tales of a host of amazing Scottish women. Spanning centuries of Scottish history, the album features songs in both Gaelic and English and covers a range of topics including suffrage, emancipation, endeavour, discovery and women's rights.
